We are looking for an energetic, positive Physical Therapy Technician who loves to work with patients to help them through their rehabilitation.
Works under direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Starting Pay:
$15 As a Physical Therapy Tech with OrthoArizona, you will get to:
Transport patients, as needed to and from the treatment area using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
Prepare patient for treatment to include assisting with undressing/dressing.
Assist with treatment as directed by the Physical/Occupational Therapist or PTA / OTA as allowed in the State Practice Act.
Provide services to include exercises, heat/cold modalities, prevention of injury, bracing, and taping as allowed in the State Practice Act.
Communicate with supervisor and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, or plans.
Keeps treatment areas clean, organized, and unobstructed.
Clean equipment after treatment.
Change linens when applicable between patients.
Answer phones, take messages, and assist with patients at front desk.
Assist in training and orienting of fresh staff members.
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age with minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of exercise is necessary.
Candidate should be friendly, hardworking, self-motivated, show initiative and be able to work with patients of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
A physical therapy technician must have good observational and communications skills, reporting to the therapist patient response to treatment.
A physical therapy technician must have knowledge regarding exercise performance and the ability to correct positioning.
