Academic Duties:
o Plans a program of study, employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students as well as state academic standards o Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students o Utilizes multi-sensory activities including audio/visual and computer presentations, outside and change of location activities, visuals, and graphics o Evaluates students' academic and social growth, maintains accurate gradebook, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports and report cards.
o Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
o Demonstrates effective communication skills with parents, students, Principal, other teachers/aides, and District staff o Posts grades to gradebook in a timely manner to provide parents and students with accurate information Qualifications Meets all appropriately certified requirements for the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements.
AZ Teacher Certification a plus, but not required.
Two or more years classroom teaching experience preferred.
AZ State Fingerprint clearance card required.
